Yes, you have both options ready to be installed in your EcoLifeMate box. We use the long extension tube at home because refills occur once per year. You may use the one that suits you best.

Reusable Gallon Storage Bags
We recommend drying them upside down on a breathable dish towel. They need to be on a very flat surface or they will collapse on the side while being upside down. The wider you open them, the more stable they will be. If you have anything to hold them up upside down (a rack), that's even better. You can ever use the slider bar as a pole to hold it up, like a tent. Water spots are normal and do not impact the product's performance.
Yes our bags can handle the freezer. If you're freezing a liquid, please make sure you don't fill over the fill line on the bag, as some liquids may expand in the freezer. This will help avoid a huge mess 🙂
The slider bars will feel tighter during their very first use, which is totally normal. They slide in and out from one side only, the one with the arrow on the bag. To make this process easier on your first use, you can slide the sealer bars on and off a couple times in soapy water. After a bit of practice, you'll be an expert and will be teaching your friends and family 🙂 Practicing while the bag is upright also helps align the grooves in which the slider bar moves across. This process becomes significantly easier after the bar has went trough the grooves a few times. You can also use oil in the grooves to facilitate the process.
The best way to label the bags is to write on them directly with a dry erase marker. The backside of the bags (the side without the measurements) is dedicated for this purpose.
Yes, but you will have to remove the top rack of the dishwasher and place them upside down. You can wedge the slider bar in the middle for added stability. We wash them by hand at home, it's less of a hassle than to remove the top rack every time 🙂

Place your foods that are nearest to their expiry date. That way, you'll pick them first and prevent them from going to waste. Please refer to your product insert for most commonly wasted foods.
Silicone Stretch Lids
If your surface becomes wet and the lid is hard to put back on because it slips, dry the bowl/container off with a hand towel and use the other same size lid that's dry. That's why our packaging provides you with 2 of the same size.
